I've downloaded the pcpanel demo program- It doesn't start but shows and error message and terminates.

Most ofter the reason is that you don't have .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 installed.
You need at least the redistributable package of this version. Please search on the Microsoft website. It should be very easy to find.
